Gluten-free Indianapolis: A #nimatested Dining Guide

Gluten-free Indianapolis

This #nimatested guide is brought to you by Valerie Kraft, Nima community member and student at Vanderbilt University. See Valerie’s recent Q&A post where she answered the communities questions about avoiding gluten in college.

Known for the Indianapolis 500, historic landmarks, and vibrant downtown, Indianapolis is a bustling, up-and-coming city that’s great to visit and live in! Home to many local restaurants and unique cultural districts, such as Broad Ripple, Fountain Square, and Mass Ave, there’s an abundance of gluten-free friendly restaurants! Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite before an Indianapolis Colts game or wanting to enjoy a meal in one of Indianapolis’s many suburbs, there’s something for everyone in this Midwest mecca!

I was super impressed with Bru Burger’s dedication to gluten free – both the manager and waitress went over the cross-contamination protocols with me – which includes a dedicated gluten free fryer and blender, as well as changing gloves and utensils. The manager even stuck around to make sure the Nima came back with a smile!
